The History Behind Right Equine
The equestrian world has always been where Proprietor Rebecca has always felt her destiny lay. Rebecca was born into the equestrian world in 1973 and her heart has been with it ever since.
Rebecca was taught to ride by her father, BSJA course builder Alf Dudley, Alf sadly passed away in November of 2005 at the age of 80 (which some you may have seen in the Horse and Hound in December) Alf built for the BSJA for over 20 years, mainly in Area 33 (Graceland’s, Solihull, Stoneleigh, etc) he also ran charity shows for The Sunfields Children’s Home, as well as for approximately 18 years at the Wales and The West (home of David Broom and Family).
Rebecca and brother Mark where often as babies put under the stale door and nuzzled by Alf’s favourite coloured mare Bella, who he took to Wembley in 1963. Rebecca followed in Alf’s equine footsteps, firstly with showing, then to Alf’s real love of showjumping and began competing at the age of 7, from 12.2’s Rebecca went on to JC and JA ponies and competed all over the country in Derby’s, Paul Fabrications, Christy Beauforts etc, coming from a humble or modest background the Dudley family made lots of sacrifices to get Rebecca to the shows (Rebecca’s mum Dorothy even sold a treasured ring once to raise the funds to get to a qualifier! – Thank you mum!) Rebecca’s fondest memories where with JA pony My Imp II (also strangely enough a coloured pony!) Impy has previously been the ride of Anna Fawdrey (wife of Andy Austin) Impy scared most who dared to put their bottom in the saddle, but Rebecca and Impy formed a bond, a bond that led to much success and one that touched Rebecca’s heart forever. They competed with the best of British talent including Andrew Davis, Guy Goosen to name just a couple. They were very memorable and fabulous times with lots of fun! (thanks guys for all the fun we had, parties in the lorries, hiding horses and getting thrown in the water jump on my birthday in the Ballen ring at Brooms, unforgettable, ill get you back one day!!)
Rebecca left the showjumping ring behind to follow a career path. She has worked in a number of different industries from Company Brokers to Manufacturing, her involvement in all areas of business from customers services, Logistics and Account to Marketing and UK Sales Account Management has given Rebecca and excellent portfolio of skills to set in place the foundations of Right Equine. Rebecca understands that customers are key to the success of the business and the feedback gained from them is invaluable, there fore she strongly encourages the use of the feedback facility for all types of comments relating to the site.
