DescriptionAstwood Livery Stables near Redditch in Worcestershire is looking for an apprentice. We are a top notch Dressage and Full Livery yard with fantastic facilities. We need an entusiastic person to assist our senior groom and the yard owner with the day to day running of the yard.
We can currently offer 15 hrs per week but plan to make this a full time position for the right candidate. Upon completion of the basic apprenticeship there is scope for you to continue with the advanced apprenticeship whilst working for us full time. The yard owner is a BHSAI and our senior groom is an assessor.
We do not have any accomodation so you will need to live near by and have your own transport or a bus pass! There may be the possibility of bringing your own horse.
The ideal candidate would have some experience with horses and ideally already hold level 1 horsecare or Pony Club C or above. However all candidates will be given full consideration.
Astwood Osteopaths is based at our yard and there will be opportunity to view some of the treatments and rehabilition work as well as the care of Dressage horses working from Prelim up to PSG.
